Compared with last year, the overall ranking of international schools in China has dropped slightly, mainly due to the adjustment of American universities' policies on overseas students, preferring to admit more local students. In addition, Ivy League and other popular schools in America have tightened the admission rate of overseas students, which has caused the number and the rate of Chinese students admitted to Ivy League and other famous schools to decline.
based on the international common education indicators in UNESCO Statistical Yearbook, the evaluation panel adopted "Education Input - Process - Effectiveness" as the assessment structure (please visit www.hkpep.com for the details on assessment system, the description of 63 education indicators at level 1, level 2 and level 3, and how to process the evaluation data and calculate the ranking).
In the assessment, the Educational Information Institute of HKPEP collected the data of a total of more than 1500 schools around the world where students can study English, American and Canadian International courses, and conducted a comprehensive comparative analysis and evaluation. based on the evaluation system of HKPEP Top China International Schools in Education Competitiveness, the evaluation panel added the index of internationalization of schools in assessment system, which makes the rankings of international schools unique and valuable. It also provides an important reference for families with international education needs in China to choose schools, and further promotes the competitiveness of schools.
The top 100 international schools on the list are from 21 countries, of which 34 are American schools and 22 are British schools. The number of Chinese schools has increased to 23. Among them, 6 in Hong Kong and 17 in the mainland (4 in Beijing, 9 in Shanghai and 1 in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Wuhan and Nanjing respectively). Other countries account for a small proportion, including 4 schools in Singapore, 2 schools in India and the United Arab Emirates respectively. Malaysia appears on the list for the first time with 1 school. Besides, 1 in Japan, Australia, Switzerland, Russia, Belgium, South Korea, Spain, Italy, France, Czech Republic, Germany and Monaco respectively. (Please visit www.goodschool.world for the ratings of various educational indicators, comprehensive ratings and interpretations of listed schools.)
The list makes a comprehensive evaluation of the schools with international courses in the world. However, the final score is not a judgment on the overall strength and weakness of each school. It will be its greatest value if all schools, especially excellent ones, can view the assessment with an open-minded and self-examination attitude. It is hoped that it will become a repository of shared digital resources with sustainable value, providing a reference guide for parents choosing schools and educators. The rankings are as follows:
