portant;">King Edward’s School, Birmingham was founded in 1552 by King Edward VI and is one of the leading independent schools in the UK.

portant;">based in the leafy suburb of Edgbaston, the School shares a 50-acre site with King Edward VI High School for Girls, which provides extensive space and facilities matched by few day schools in the country.

portant;">King Edward’s School is a boys’ day school with around 880 pupils aged from 11 to 18. The majority of our pupils join at age 11 and continue through until they are 18 but a few boys join us at 13 and around 10 boys join the Sixth Form.

portant;">The School has a longstanding tradition of ensuring that a King Edward’s education is open to all boys of ability, whatever their family or financial situation. On top of the £1m each year provided by the King Edward VI Foundation for the provision of places under the Assisted Places Scheme, in recent years over £12m has been raised for this purpose from alumni and other supporters.
